Suggestions for Increased Productivity

Greetings to All,

Check out the some of these great suggestions for increased productivity below. Sam Geist and I wish you much inspiration in changing up your routine for better productivity!

  • Read something that inspires, teaches, gets your brain stimulated every morning for 15-20 minutes. -G.W.
  • Break your tasks down into 25 minute increments focusing intently on your tasks for those time slices. After each 25 minute slice take a 3-5 minute break. After four 25 minute time slices take a 15 minute break. The idea here is that frequent breaks can improve mental agility. - J.G
  • Do your creative or critical thinking work in the morning. Most people I know find mornings are their 'prime time'. This is when you're likely to get the best breakthroughs and maximum output on creative pursuits. -J.S.
  • Set yourself up for success by getting a jump start on your day. I get up early (about 5:00 am) , get a workout in, do a little meditation and write in my journal. (I have a friend who paints for 45 minutes each morning.) My energy level is increased and my brain is in gear ready to work. -R.S.
  • One of the biggest drains on my productivity used to be procrastination. I found procrastination often started with my fear of failure (better not to do it then mess it up). I found if I was aware of my thoughts, acknowledged the fear, I was able to push through it to take action. Being aware is very helpful in disabling fear (and with it procrastination), I was then able to be more productive. -R.G.
